Do You want to DO BUSINESS IN FINLAND?

Do you want to do business in Finland? Working in Finland in business requires a residence permit. Getting one today is not easy, but with the help of a good expert, it is possible. NordGuide Oy’s senior advisor Ari Huhtala has years of experience in consulting related to starting and developing businesses as well as obtaining residence permits, and he can help you in this matter.

Banks in Finland and also elsewhere in the European Union no longer easily open bank accounts for entrepreneurs with foreign backgrounds. Therefore, the best way to get a residence permit to do business in Finland is to buy a working, preferably profitable company. There are such companies available in Finland, so you just have to find them, choose the most suitable one and analyse the company’s situation, so that it is worth to pay enough but not too much for the company, so that the acquisition takes place. Our expert helps You in analysing the target company, in the buying negotiations, in drawing up the bill of sale and other necessary agreements, and in applying for a residence permit in Finland. Very likely, with the help of an expert, the purchase price will be reduced in such a way that you can easily pay the expert’s fee with this discount. This kind of acquisition, taking over and developing the purchased company requires some capital in any case.

SIXTH ROUND OF THE CORONA COST SUPPORT

NordGuide Oy will be happy to help you again to apply for cost support for companies. This time the application round is the sixth and it will open on Tuesday 26.4.2022. The application round will be closed on 31.5.2022.

The application round reimburses companies that have suffered from public-sector restrictions related to the fight against the corona pandemic. Therefore, the support is particularly important e.g., for companies in accommodation, events and tourism, but without further consideration. In addition, support may be granted on a discretionary basis to companies in a number of other sectors that have suffered from restrictions imposed by public administrations. It should be noted, however, that a mere recommendation from an authority is not sufficient to justify the support granting outside the business categories, mentioned above. Thus, for example, a remote work recommendation to a company’s customers does not justify support to a company outside these business categories.

Cost support is available if the company’s turnover has dropped by more than 25 per cent from 1 December 2021 to 28 February 2022 compared to the same period in 2019 and 2020. There is a 25% deductible for cost support, i.e., if the turnover drop is 40%, then the support is 40 – 25% = 15% of the not flexible costs.

The Finnish state pays closure compensation to enterprises, that have suffered from closures imposed as a result of the corona epidemic

The closure compensation will only be paid to enterprises, that apply for it within the application period. The application round will be opened on Tuesday, Mach 22, 2022. We in NordGuide Oy will help you to prepare an application for this compensation for your enterprise.

The closure compensation is intended to compensate companies whose business has suffered as a result of the closure orders related to the attempt to restrain the coronary pandemic and the prohibition or significant restriction of the public events. This time the compensation applies to closures imposed during the period from 21 December 2021 to 28 February 2022 or to the prohibition of holding public events. The closure compensation is intended for a company whose premises have been kept closed to customers, in whole or in part, between 21 December 2021 and 28 February 2022, pursuant to an act or order of the authority relating to the management of the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, the closure compensation is intended for public events that were prohibited between December 21, 2021 and February 28, 2022. Completely or partly closed companies can also apply for cost support, provided that the conditions for support for the company are met. The 6th application round of so called cost compensation will be opened on Tuesday, April 26, 2022.

The closure compensation is intended for companies that were ordered to close

1. Completely: The company’s premises were completely closed in accordance with section 58 g § of the Communicable Diseases Act. The municipality or regional government agency has ordered the closure of, for example, sports facilities and gyms, public saunas, spas and swimming pools, dance venues, choir singing and amateur theater facilities, amusement and theme parks, indoor playgrounds and venues, and shopping centers.

2. In part: Restaurant establishments which, due to restrictions, have not been able to conduct their business. The restaurants, which had to be closed to customers, such as dinner restaurants and nightclubs, is considered partly closed. If the company had a take-away sale after 6 p.m., the sale is included in the portion of the closed business.

3. For organizers of public events: If the ban has caused cancellation of the public event. Restricting the number of audiences to such a small size that it was not possible to organize the event is also equated with banning a public event.

Please contact me, so that we can look together, if your business could be eligible for this closure compensation.
